Mr. Xavier Chong, who has been holding concurrent positions of Executive Chairman and CEO prior to Mr. Chan's appointment, will remain as Executive Chairman. Mr. Chong will continue to play an active role in driving the long term business growth and strategic corporate development of the Company.
The appointment of Mr. Chan separates the roles of Chairman and CEO in the Company. This is in line with one of the recommended guidelines in the Code of Governance that the Chairman and CEO to be of different persons. This ensures an appropriate balance of power, increased accountability and greater capacity of the Board for independent decision- making.

Mr. Chan, 45, was most recently President of iNETest Resources, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Ellipsiz. He has more than two decades of experience in the semiconductor and electronics manufacturing industry as well as regional business experience in Asia, Australia, New Zealand, China and India. He has held a number of senior management positions at Electronic Resources Limited (ERL), Ingram Micro and iNETest Resources.
Mr. Chan holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Business Administration degree from the National University of Singapore.
